Radaro Route Optimisation Features

Radaro routing consists of numerous features designed to improve the accuracy of the route optimisation.  These features can be switched on or off and utilised as needed to suit individual operations and different operational objectives.

Configuration Features
  • Manual Routes Approving – With this feature enabled, you can plan routes days or weeks in advance and only push the route to the Drivers at the appropriate time – be it when orders are closed and the route can no longer change or the morning of delivery.
  • Job Capacity – 3 different capacity fields can be utilised to suit various requirements.
  • Job priority – assigning a job priority at the point of job creation, allows the optimisation process to ensure that higher priority jobs are selected and added to the route optimisation before lower priority ones.

The five priority levels that can be assigned are:

  1. Highest priority
  2. Very high priority
  3. High priority
  4. Medium priority
  5. Normal priority

Please note - A job’s priority determines when it is added to a route, not the order in which the route is executed.  Lower priority jobs may be excluded if capacity or constraints prevent their inclusion.

  • Preview – When preview mode is activated, you can run and review routes before publishing.
  • Focus Change – works in conjunction with preview mode.  You can review and change the focus of the optimisation in preview mode to assess different scenarios before publishing the route.
  • Territories – Territories allow you to create delivery zones, which can then be allocated to relevant Drivers who work in that Territory.
Driver Profile Features
  • Driver Proficiency - is comprised of two components – Speed factor and Stop base duration.  The Driver Proficiency settings allow for more precise timings to be considered during the optimisation calculation.
  • Driver Limits – depending on the work being conducted, Drivers must adhere to various regulations.  Driver Limits allows you to set specific working criteria for Drivers to comply with legal and company policies.

Limits are applied for each day and include:

    • Maximum Distance to be Travelled
    • Maximum Shift Time
    • Minimum Jobs
    • Maximum Jobs

Please note - Jobs in this space represent stops.  For example, if concatenated jobs are activated, and there are 3 jobs at the one address, this will count as 1 job toward the min, max job count as it is a single stop within the route.
