External Route Sequencing

The perfect route is not always the one with least number of kilometres travelled.  Sometimes the perfect route is driven by negotiated delivery windows, customer commitments, or optimal vehicle loading and product handling requirements.

External Route Sequencing allows brands to define their own delivery order while still leveraging Radaro’s customer communication and ETA capabilities.

How It Works

With External Route Sequencing, delivery jobs are created and assigned to drivers in Radaro, with a predefined stop order supplied from your external planning system.  Radaro preserves this sequence exactly as provided.

Rather than re-optimising the route, Radaro will:Sequenced Optimisation2
•    Maintain the supplied stop order
•    Calculate the most accurate driving paths between stops
•    Generate real-time ETAs and customer delivery windows
•    Share tracking updates and notifications as usual
This ensures your operational sequencing remains intact, while customers still benefit from Radaro’s visibility and communication experience.

Ideal Use Cases
External Route Sequencing is particularly valuable in load planning environments where:
•    Delivery order is determined by how goods are physically loaded on the vehicle
•    Product constraints dictate unloading sequence
•    Route planning occurs in a Transport Management System or external planning tool
•    Compliance or contractual delivery commitments determine stop order
In these scenarios, operational efficiency depends on preserving the planned sequence rather than re-optimising for distance.

Operational Benefits

•    Maintain control of your delivery sequence

•    Integrate external load planning with Radaro

•    Continue providing accurate ETAs and customer updates

•    Avoid conflicts between loading constraints and route optimisation

External Route Sequencing enables seamless integration between your planning systems and Radaro's customer communication platform.
